About Sharon Wilkinson
I am a former student of five levels Creative Photography both through St Lawrence College and privately with the instructor in Kingston Ontario. As well as being a founding member of a group of five photographers known as XCeption, I am a member with the Canadian Association of Photographic Art and a former member of the Kingston Photographic Club.
I have had the distinction of being a recipient of the People's Choice Award at an exhibition with the Kingston Photographic Clib and have received Honorable Mention with the Department of National Defence's Photographic Contest in 2011. I have had a photograph published in the Canadian Heritage Magazine as well as Photo News..
My photographic style can be all over the board from creative photography, nature, portraiture or anything that catches my eye. I am inspired by the creative works of Richard Martin, Andre Gallant and Freeman Patterson while also finding inspiration from many of my Flickr contacts over the years. I do however like to think that my style is just 'my style'.
My weapon of choice is a Canon 1DS Mark III, Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 7D, Canon XSi, Canon XTi, a point and shoot camera, a film camera, a disposable camera a vintage film camera or even my iPhone - whatever I have in my hand at the time..
I dabble in photography and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
